Who We Are

IEHD’s programs allow students to explore the intersection of healthcare innovation, problem solving, and social change in a 48-hour sprint dedicated to education and ideation in healthcare disparities.

Future Events Coming Soon!

What To Expect

  • Students will join teams with mentors to discuss healthcare disparities.

  • Through guided workshops, inspiring talks, and design-thinking, they’ll brainstorm solutions and craft presentations.

  • Each team will showcase their ideas to a panel of experts and peers, gaining valuable feedback and insight into real-world applications.

Step 1 - Prompts + Fact Sheets

Your team will take on one of three prompts, each focused on a different social disparity. To help you get started, we’ve created 3 fact sheets with key statistics, sources, and insights. Review your group’s fact sheet, discuss it together, and use it alongside outside research to inspire ideas for your design process. Scroll through to finds yours!

Step 2 - Brainstorm + Outline

This is an optional tool, but we have included it to give you some structure in your design process! It includes some questions to help you organize your thoughts and some more questions + pointers to keep in mind when designing a proposal.

Step 3 - Craft a Proposal

Check out the sample proposal for ideas and guidelines! Your goal is a 3–5 minute presentation, and you can be as creative as you like. Use the speaker notes for extra tips. Past groups have made posters, websites, apps, and slides. Keep it around 5 minutes and make sure everyone in your group gets a chance to share their voice!
